Current needs and successful outcomes

In January 2026, SCIU provided support to support 12-year-old Frank Katumba.

Frank, who lives with his widowed mother and four younger siblings, has weakness in his lower limbs that severely limits his walking.

The funds covered:

Specialist consultation, a pair of elbow crutches, a pair of KAFOs (knee-ankle-foot orthoses), Initial physiotherapy and transport

Success: Frank now has improved mobility with the new assistive devices.

He continues physiotherapy.

Nalongo Robinah is a 38 year old mother of 5. She lives outside a very small village in a single mud hut.

She has no real means of income and is constantly in need of food for her family

SCIU want to provide her with ongoing, sustainable income.

We are working to raise funds to provide them with three cows to provide milk that they can drink and also sell. It will become a generational source of income for the family.

Please contact us if you are able to help.

SCIU provides ongoing support for dozens of orphan children in Uganda.

They require school fees, books, uniforms, medical treatment and the knowledge that people still care for them.

Please contact us if you are interested in helping us support them.
